So it’s 10:25pm and there is nothing on TV. I mean nada. So here I am.

My husband did something sweet for me. I have been wanting an Ipod for about a year. He bought me one. No reason. Just because he loves me. Isn’t that great? Isn’t he great? I think I’ll have to do something extra nice for him.

Today I made chocolate chip cookies with Noah. He was very excited by the whole process. And we decided we loved the way the house smelled. He informed me that we should cook cookies everyday so our house smells pretty. I love making cookies on my Pampered Chef Baking Stone. I need to have another party so I can get another one. It really makes it almost impossible to burn anything with those baking stones.

I need to get back into the swing of doing my projects around the house. I’m actually looking forward to hubby doing the whole work thing. (Did I mention the other day he got a job? Yep. Well it’s all being finalized. I guess it could still fall through but it looks 95%!) I am much more productive when he isn’t around. He turns the tv on a lot, we watch the news, we chat… the whole “air” around the house is more relaxed when he’s here. I need to sort through clothes, sell some stuff on ebay, organize my pantry, clean out underneath my sink… you know… stuff that you say you need to do but never seem to get to. I’m going to get to it.

My parents are coming to visit in Mid October. My father, who hates to travel, has decided he wants to come out. I’m happy about it, but a little bit leary too. My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s several weeks ago and this feels vaguely like a “goodbye trip” and Im just not ready for that yet. Should be an interesting visit. I have to come up with things I can do with them. My mom can’t walk and my dad gets agoraphobic due to the Alzheimer’s . I’m thinking maybe whale watching. No walking and dad can’t get lost.

I need to scrapbook. I am WAY behind. How do other moms (Katie?) keep their kids out of their scrapping stuff? I mean do you put everything away in between times? I keep everything put away but I think that deters me from hauling it all out. Maybe if I had a place to just leave it, I’d do it more often.

Well.. I think Im going to go to bed early. Thanks everyone for your comments on entertaining en masse. I think i’m going to give it a shot.
