Emma is home with Coxsackie Virus today. I could really alter the spelling of that virus to more adequately describe how we feel about it in this house. It’s a horrid virus. Makes everyone feel yuck, run temps, sores in the mouth, hurts to eat. Awful.

Well there is a price we are paying for the whole Disney World during the 2 and 3rd week of school stunt. Remember we pulled the kids out to go on the dream vacation. Dinara had just started kindergarten. I was a bad mommy opting for Florida Sun (or hurricanes) instead of public education. But anyway…. She caught up faster then I expected except for one thing. She’s eating hot dogs everyday at school. Why? Well… because she likes hotdogs and because she doesn’t remember where the other stuff is. You see… she wasn’t there to have multiple days of the teacher going with her to pick out lunch. So Dinara, not really understanding why hotdogs are a bad daily choice, is choosing hotdogs everyday. We had a long talk about it today. Emma was going to “keep an eye out for her” in the lunch room today but then she stayed home sick. So… if she had a hotdog again today, then I will go to the school tomorrow and eat lunch with her.

How do other parents handle this? I mean in our school, they have hotdogs, burgers and pizza everyday along with a salad bar and another choice or two. I don’t want my kids eating that processed crap everyday. I know… I could send lunch… but I’m lazy too. Guess I can’t have it both ways right?

John had his interviews. Everything went well. Now he has to write a letter explaining design choices and giving them some mock ups. Funny how this whole process was backward. They negotiated the rate FIRST then made him jump through all the hoops. Strange.

Tonight LOST is on TV! Whoot! I love that show. Another new show I am enjoying is Kevin Hill. It’s on UPN or WB. I TiVo it so … I’m not sure when it’s on exactly.

Ok…time to go pick up Dinara from school….
