Well the parental units are here and they aren’t driving me crazy yet. Dad is in amazingly good spirits. The best I have seen him in since 2000. He’s been very affectionate and interative with the kids and seems almost himself.

Tonight I bailed on my parents and went to the party. We had a great time. Kids stayed up too late… but we made smores, drank hot chocolate and mulled wine around a bonfire, met parents from our kids classes and made sexual innuendo jokes about men playing with fire with pokers. (Had to be there kind of funny… or at least you have to have had a few glasses of wine to find it amusing)

Tomorrow we are heading to a farm to go pick out pumpkins, drink apple cider and ride some ponies.

Life is good. I love the fall.
