Is it just me or do other parents get weary of the questions? My 4 year old son asks questions sometimes instead of conversing. Questions are his method of conversing and man it’s tiring. I do really well until about 4pm. Then I’m all questioned out.

Here’s an example of a recent car ride:

Noah: Mom why is the sky blue?
Me: I don’t know honey. Why do you think the sky is blue?
Noah: Why are the clouds white?
Me: I’m not sure. We could look it up on the internet.
Noah: Can planes fly if it’s froggy? (aka foggy but froggy sounds so cute!)Me: Sometimes Noah.
Noah: Can we go look at planes in the frog?
Me: hmmmm. Maybe someday.
Noah: I like planes mom. I want a plane.
Me: Maybe you could ask Santa for one for Christmas.
Noah: How would a plane fit in his sleigh?
Me: Maybe he could just fly the plane?
Noah: How do planes fly?
Me: (heavy sigh cause this is about question #3456 for the hour and I’m weary and would love just a moment of silence) It’s complicated Noah.
Noah: (reacting to the heavy sigh thinking I’m frustrated) It’s ok to not have the answers Mom. I still love you.
