The morning run down:

Get up.
Consider exercising… but decide to skip it.
Drink lots of coffee.
Make the kids breakfast.
Drink more coffee.
Go out to the garage and find the new pretty Costco wrapping paper.
Find scotch tape.
Find scissors.
Now wrap the presents.
Exclaim with glee how Costco’s wrapping paper has cutting guides printed on the back of the paper and it’s not cheap paper that rips when you cut it.
Send youngest into the playroom to pick up his mess.
Send two girls up to make homemade birthday cards because I’m too cheap to buy cards.
Listen to older child lose complete patience with younger child for not following her instructions.
Instruct older child to practice grace, patience and control her emotions.
Assume she doesn’t get the message when she yells “alrighty then!” and closes her bedroom door a bit too loudly.
Mutter under my breath and try to control my emotions.
Drink more coffee.
Make Bed.
Take a hot shower.
Linger in shower relishing the peace.
Till youngest comes in and asks for a glass of juice.
Reminds him to go clean the playroom.
Dress the kid that has TWO birthday parties to go this afternoon.
Console older kid who laments not being invited to as many birthday parties as younger kid.
Talk to older child about being a good friend so people want to invite you to their parties.
Tie in the whole slamming door drama and how that is NOT a way to do it.
Go check on playroom progress.
Instruct youngest child on why there are bins for different toys and why we don’t just dump everything into whatever bin is closest.
Praise youngest for his sorting ability.
Drink more coffee.
Work with hubby on tweaking the new blog website. We are almost done!
Ask husband to please take over the parenting while I go take a few minutes on the computer.
Email friend who is in the adoption process and having to deal with a family member who assures her that she will not love her adopted child as much as her bio child. *sigh*
Write this blog post….
