Spring Fever
Posted by Kym under General
Crap. The washing machine seems fixed. I’ve only tried small loads, but the future is not looking front-loaded-bright for me right now. Guess this means I actually have to do laundry. It was nice enjoying the excuse of “the washer isn’t working”.
My friend is supposed to get back to me tomorrow about the cruise. I’m having mixed feelings about going again. Guilt really. Like Noah is still 4 and I can do these trips in a couple of years when he’s older. And then there is the whole organizing childcare issue. What a nightmare. And she hasn’t left me a whole lot of time to do it since we would be going the first week of March. And what… I am going to put my needs for cabana boys, frozen drinks with pretty umbrellas, good conversations and not having to cut up someone’s meat for a few days ahead of my mommy responsibilities? Heh. I’m going to wait and see what cruise line she comes back with… if it’s the cheaper line, I think I’m going to pass. Just not worth the hassle for me right now for something I’m not super excited about. Maybe I should forgo the cruise and buy the washer of my dreams? Geesh, how boring is *that*?
I need to research tickets to go to my 15th college reunion in April too… hard for me to believe that spring is almost here. I can’t wait for summer in Seattle.
The screen enclosure on our house in Florida is finished! YIPEE!!! Hey, the hurricane was in August and it has only taken till February. Now all our guests can enjoy the place without the company of bugs. Life is good.
Need to go do a bunch of errands. But am not in the mood. Yes, yes I know. I need to get off this computer and just go do it. Stop reading blogs. Stop rambling about all the crap on my todo list. Stop looking longingly at the sun. The sunshine is just such a pleasant distraction… but I need to focus on the tasks at hand and not be swayed by the call of the great outdoors.
Spring fever has set in….

I can understand the dilemma of vacationing sans kids. We have to schedule a househunting trip sans kids in April and I am *so* not excited… we’ve never gone away from the kids before, and 5 days, 4 nights seems like a long time for the first time, especially if we have to split the kids up between friends’ houses. :’(
