Sucky Fantasy
Posted by Kym under General
Today I had an air duct company come blow out our dryer vent, clean our furnace, ductwork and all the vents in our house. I was orginally just going to get the dryer vent serviced, but when the very cute repairman guy talked to me about sucking out the dirt in my ducts… how could I refuse? He went into grave detail about how it looked like my ducts had been neglected. Seriously, he pulled out a flashlight to show me how dark it was in there from the dirt and then went on to tell me how he could make it all better.
I guess I can’t help but get alittle excited when people talk dirty to me.
He slowly and with great detail discussed the specifics about how I (oops, I mean our ducts) needed a good servicing. He had all the right tools. (gulp) This after he told me how productive blowing out my dryer vent was. Oh yeah. And I should see incredible returns in my electric bill. (You know how money talk gets me excited… how did he know?!) It might have been my imagination, but I swear his voice got a bit breathy when he spoke of the better “flow” and that I should see immediate and improved performance. Oh. Baby.
God. I wanted him to keep talking. Just. A. Little.Slower.and.Longer. I never asked so many questions about stupid ductwork. LOL
In other ductwork news, I counted myself lucky that all they sucked out of the ducts were 7 viewmasters. (How many times can I say suck in this post?) These were viewmasters we lost when Emma was 2. I figure with three kids, it could have been much worse. And sucking dirty underwear or God knows what else could have put quite the kabash on the breathy blowing and sucking fantasy.

I’m also envious of the cute repairman and the “sucky” talk you had. The last repairman we had looked like the Unabomber but the painter last summer…? Hooweee, there was some eye candy! And all his talk of stroking…paint strokes, I think he meant.
