Today we are celebrating our “Forever Family Day”. It’s our 4th anniversary of Dinara and Noah’s Gotcha Day.
On March 11th (or the closest weekend) we take a day to have fun together and celebrate the fact we are family. Today we are on our way to a Family Fun Center and then out to eat. 4 years ago today a judge in Kazakhstan recognized that Dinara and Noah were meant to be part of our family. In so many ways it seems like yesterday.
If you are interested in reading about our emotional and original Gotcha Day, you can read about it here. The excerpt is from my online journal at the time.
I’ll post some pictures later.

Congratulations on your anniversary. I hope you’ve had a lovely day. I’m so happy for you and your clan. I’m tearing up now. Thursday at work I was showing your family pic to my immediate co-workers. One lady said “Look, the little girl on the right looks like her dadddy, and the other little girl and boy look like the mommy.” You all most certainly belong to each other.

Oh how cool!
On the 12th, seven years ago, our oldest came to live with us (for a week). On the 16th, last year, my baby arrived for good (she had spent a weekend here, screaming at me and missing her foster mom, but we were going out of town so it wasn’t right to move her permanently till we got back)
Congratulations!!
