Little of this and that
Posted by Kym under General
I’m so sleepy this morning. And my house looks like a pit. The cleaning lady is coming today. I have to hurry up and get a move on to get the crap put away before she comes. She doesn’t put things away. They end up ‘stacked’ if I don’t do the clear them away before she comes. And then the stacks remain for 2 weeks until she comes back again. Cause you know… no one ever wants to go through the stacks and put stuff away. There is no magic stack cleaning fairy. Excuse me. Let me just go dust off my wings.
I love Wally World. We had fun shopping last night. I won’t discuss here how much money I spent supporting the evil empire… but I will say it was a significant amount. And it was fun. And I dare say that the shopping rush was better then any sex I’ll get this week.
I bought all the kids Easter gifts. We don’t do candy ladden baskets. It’s a throw over from mommy having a weight problem. I just don’t see the sense in spending tons of money on candy. So they get a big gift instead. And I buy a chocolate bunny and some jelly beans. That’s it. Dinara is the only one who misses it. She tried to negotiate with me the other day that perhaps I could let the Bunny know via our email contact that she would prefer a big basket of candy instead of a toy. I told her The Bunny doesn’t negotiate gifts and perhaps she might not want to appear ungrateful. She contemplated that and agreed.
My sister emailed me. I guess my email to her reaching out was somewhat appreciated. She too pushed past her need for detachment and at least we found a comfortable space together. I explained that I just wanted to offer her support. No agenda, that I just didn’t want to be the same as everyone else in our family. I also said that I know it’s hard for her to accept that support, but I at least wanted her to know I was trying. And she didn’t shoot back: “Well…what I need is for you to just let me be”. So I’ll call that progress.
I got my house in Florida booked up for the last two weeks of season. The guy lives in Austria. And is very friendly. Even sent me to a website with pictures of his wedding and his kidlets. Only good looking people share pictures of themselves btw. The ugly people never send you pictures of what they look like. ANYWAY, I prefer the relationships to be all business. But oh no. Some people are chatty. This guy was chatty. He’s called me 5 times. FIVE. I don’t know if I’ve ever discussed this in my blog before, but I absolutely hate talking on the phone. Especially when stuff could be better handled in email. I mean today, he called to just chat about the wire transfer. There were no problems. It was just he wanted me to know he did it. SEND AN EMAIL BUDDY! I didn’t say that of course. But I wanted to. And he made sure to tell me that he would talk to me again in a few weeks before his arrival.
Oh joy.
OK I gotta get going… I’m going to put on my Ipod and be very cleaning productive! I swear! No surfing. None. Be strong Kym!

I got a big chuckle out of…”let me go and dust off my wings!” Your sense of humor is a hoot! I’m Ms.-oh-so-serious. Tell a joke and I’m one of those dorks who is listening so seriously that I misses it — Uh! Pathetic.
Love the blog as always

Heehee, I never thought of ‘negotiating’ with the Easter bunny? Very resourceful!
