Slather me up, Baby!
Posted by Kym under General
Not much time to post this morning but I wanted to put out there that I did go to the day spa yesterday and it was wonderful. My friend and I had massages and a mud wrap. I had never had a mud wrap before and let me tell you… it’s my new favorite treatment. I dunno, something about someone rubbing you down with warmed slippery stuff just… Oh wait. I mean I loved the medicinal qualities of what the mud did for my skin. Heh.
Ok so here’s the routine: First they slough you down with loofah. Then they slide this warm mud all over your body. Then they wrap you in warmed towels. They give you a head massage with some eucalyptus oil that smells really good. Then you are rinsed with a Vichy shower. It’s complete luxury and pampering because you lay there and this 8 headed shower thing just massages your body with warm water. Then they slather you up with some moisturizer. It was HEAVEN. And my skin feels so soft! Then, I went and had a massage. That was good too…but I liked the mud wrap the best!
And they keep your bits covered in towels. But when the towels get wet, you sorta can’t feel the towels… and you have to resist the urge to put your hand down there and feel “Am I still covered?” Although truthfully, halfway through you are so relaxed, you don’t really care. Well I didn’t. But then again, I’m not the most modest person either. I bet you hadn’t figured that out about me.
Next time I go to a bigger spa, I want to try that mud stuff where you soak in a big tub of mud. I’m curious though… do they change the mud? These are the things I think about. Maybe one of my readers will know….
Off to do errands…. Time to get ready for my trip East on Thursday!
