10 random things in my head
Posted by Kym under General
1. It makes me angry that I can’t volunteer at some functions at my child’s school simply because I don’t have childcare for my youngest. I feel excluded simply because I have a younger child. Doesn’t seem fair.
2. It’s very cute how my 4 year old says “Dark Vader” no matter how many times we tell him it’s Darth.
3. The hardest part about volunteering is that you have to work with other people. I’m weary of cheerleading, cajoling, pleading, soothing and reminding people I work with on projects where I am, yes, just a volunteer like them. It’s especially annoying to have to do all those things for subpar work.
4. Striving to see the good in people can be very emotionally exhausting when people are..well… human and all.
5. My 15th wedding anniversary is this November. We are thinking about spending a week in Hawaii to celebrate Thanksgiving and our Anniversary.
6. It amazes me people read my blog everyday. Really it does.
7. Tonight for dinner we are having Grilled Copper River Salmon with Sour Cream Dill Sauce. YUM!
8. I need some self-care. I want to go get my eyebrows done and go get my hair lighted. I’m just worried the whole highlighting thing is more of a commitment then I really want to make.
9. I’m thinking I’m going to be packing my kids lunches next year. I do not think my district is going to be making any big changes.
10. My daughter Emma has lost 9 pounds. She has done it upping her exercise and changing her eating habits. I’m very proud of her. She’s lost one whole jeans size.

WTG Emma! That’s awesome!
It makes me angry that I can’t volunteer at my kids’ school because I work and I already miss work for all the school things I HAVE to attend. Not that your situation isn’t frustrating, as well. Just sayin’.
15 years… that’s amazing. Enjoy.

My first visit to your blog. Enjoyed reading it very much. Volunteering is seldom as rewarding as it should be.
