The weekend
Posted by Kym under General
Last night we went to a wine and cheese party for our new neighbors. It was really nice. They are a couple who are in the midst of the adoption process (domestic) and I’m excited we’ll soon have more kids in the neighborhood. I feel so blessed to live in such a great neighborhood. Many times my husband and I have talked about “cashing in” and moving to a smaller house or a cheaper area, but it is truly our community that keeps us here. I love the school my children attend, I love my neighbors, and I love the area. I feel very blessed.
My daughters have been going through a couple of the scrapbooks I have done…and really just devouring them. It’s amazing to watch and I feel such appreciation from them for the work that went into them. They have been looking at them several times a week. This is inspiring me to get off my big butt and start working on the next one. I haven’t worked on scrap booking in months. It’s time to get going. Perhaps I’ll take a few days and start 2004’s.
Nothing much exciting going on. Next week is really busy as it’s the last full week of school for the kiddos. I’m looking forward to summer.

does emma’s school have an all-inclusive anti-bullying policy? the romaniac’s school implemented this a few years back and i do think it has helped. each year every home room draws up a contract stating what will and will not be tolerated. each kid writes it in thrit own handwriting, signs it, and the laminated copy is hung inside their locker or the inside of their desk. you’re a honcho in the PTSA, swing some of that clout, girl!

I so need to start scrapbooking again, my kids really enjoy theirs as well. And I want to find a neighborhood like yours when we move. Most vveryone here is old (the people built the houses in the 60/70’s, raised their kids, and haven’t moved/died yet).
