Have you?
Posted by Kym under General, Inside my head
Created a document that tells your survivors where all your important documents are in the event of your death?
Created something for each one of your kids in case you die? Like a letter or a box of stuff to remember you by?
Have you ever thought about this stuff? I mean really, it’s important right? Trying to make life easier for those you love in their darkest hour. Am I morbid that I think of crap like this?

No, you are smart. I have one of those myself!

Sort of… I keep all the important documents in one file folder, hopefully soon to be placed in a fire safe lock box (and even if I told my husband about the folder daily until I died he’d still have no clue, I sometimes think you and I married twins separated at birth).
The kids have scrapbooks made by me but only completed to October 2003, that’s one of the things I hope to work on as soon as school starts (I love those last 2 words, hehe).

No, but I think about it a lot. I have told my little sister all my wishes (she’s the girls’ guardian), but it is not yet in writing. I keep saying we need to get it all done officially and stick in a safe deposit box, but it just hasn’t happened yet. In fact, I was just talking to my hubby about this a couple days ago.
I did create a Time Capsule box for each girl the year of their birth, complete with a letter from Mommy written on the night of their 1st birthday. I also scrapbook, but, like Katie, mine are stuck in 2003.

We keep most important documents in the safe in DH’s office.
I write to each one of my girls once a month in a journal I’ve been keeping. I write on their birthday date. Tells them how they’ve grown and changed, what they’ve done, etc.
