Monday Monday…

Saturday was Dinara’s birthday party at the pool. It went “swimmingly”. I think everyone had a good time. Am I bad mom to admit I feel this sense of relief that I don’t have to think about another birthday party till April?
The highlight moment of yesterday was family time. It was one of those spontaneous moments you wish you could just freeze and make go on forever. All the kids and the dog were piled on our bed. We played a rousing game of Peanut Butter and Jelly where John and I were the bread. Which quickly then went into a discussion about what types of jellies would mix well together and how the breads were getting the best deal by far. Then of course, we got into a discussion about where everyone was ticklish. It was a lot of fun. I’m pretty sure the dog didn’t like the whole “find out where I’m ticklish” thing but she still put up with it and was jumping all over the bed licking the kids faces while we tickled them!
Today we are going skating this afternoon. My day is made up todo items that I am hoping will give me some sense of accomplishment. Get Dinara’s audiology appointment scheduled, get my life insurance exam scheduled, get all the dates for kid parties and volunteering on my schedule, do all the PTSA crap I need to do. I’m sick of PTSA. I’m pushing through it…but it feels like a chore. There is no joy in it anymore for me.
Anyway… Im off to go buy some fresh fruit and veggies… hope everyone has a great week!
Oh and it’s Flu Pandemic Awareness week.
Hop on over to Effect Measure for some thought provoking discussion on the possible flu pandemic.

I know what youmean about the birthday party thing–it’s a chore I kind of dread (glad when it’s over, like you said).
Have fun skating and accomplishing lots of your to-do items!

I just wanted to say that I’m glad you’re keeping the latest links on this - it helps to have this stuff in one place and having someone do a lot of the research for me, since right now my ability to do it is limited.
