The parental units are here so I don’t have much time to blog. Visit is going well. I can really see how my dad has declined though. It’s hard to watch.

Spoke with the guy who was thinking of buying our house in Florida. I guess he’s still interested. We’ll see. If I don’t have a signed contract in 10 days, I’m just going to fly down there. The open question remains whether I will do it before Christmas or after. I’m really leaning towards after.

It’s conference week at school Dinara is really doing wonderfully. She’s at the top of her reading group. Granted, it’s the slowest reading group… but we had serious worries about her ability to learn to read so this is huge progress. More importantly then the actual reading is that she is enthusiastic about it. She enjoys it. So that is great news. Emma is doing well. Her teacher this year is very challenging and she is really enjoying it. It is really amazing to me what they are teaching them now a days. In science they just studied the human body and memorized a lot of the bones! And I really like how they are focusing on study skills. Skills I didn’t learn till I got to college. Noah’s conference is on Monday. He got almost all fours… so with him, I’m looking at ways to keep him challenged….

I also got contacted to be in a blogging book. That’s pretty cool. I signed the waiver. We’ll see if they use any screen shots! I’ll let you know.

I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving… I might try a few new recipes this year. Anyone have good recipes for leftovers? Mom and Dad leave on Friday.
