I love the holidays!

Today I got to sleep in. No waking up at 7am to take the kids to school. I had the most perfect cup of coffee with a couple of Christmas Cookies my neighbor gave me yesterday. I spent the morning talking with my daughter while making everyone scrambled eggs and bacon. Put a load of laundry in. Then I braised some meat and started a stew for tonight. The house smells so great! Now I’m going to now finish up the bi-annual clean out of the playroom with the kids to make room for new toys and then we are probably going to make gingerbread houses.

I am just so savoring the slower pace of the season this year. Ive given myself more time to relax and just be present enough to enjoy things and it’s making such a difference in my state of mind.
