Feeling better!
Posted by Kym under General
The weather in the Pacific NW has been beautiful this week. It’s been sunny and around 60 degrees. We’ve been loving it!
I beat the flu!!! I’m better! YAY ME!!!
Today I felt well enough to go back and work out at the gym. I am so proud of me for committing to exercise. It’s been two months. And in these two months I’ve dealt with both a death and a sickness. Either of which would have completely derailed me before. But not this time. This time, I am still doing it. And I’m proud of me. And I’m proud of what I am modeling for my children too.
Emma worked out with me today. She did 25 mins on the elliptical machine and 5 minutes on the bike. And I almost cried when we talked at the end of the workout about how good it feels. How much “better” we feel after working out. If I can teach her that one thing… to be present enough and in touch with her body enough to recognize that exercise is worth it … that will make me so happy!
Tomorrow we are going to the movies to see Ice Age. I almost don’t want to go since it’s so beautiful, but we have plans with a friend down the street. Then we have a birthday party in the evening.
I’m almost done with the PTSA newsletter. This is the last one of the year. And it’s been particularly painful because I’m still getting requests from fellow board members for inclusions. So I have to go back and rework things to make more space. It’s like no one really understands how much work this stupid thing is. Probably they do..they just don’t care. Ha! Anyway… I’m glad it’s almost over.
I need to plan out our summer vacations. We are going to go to NYC and to the Caribbean. I need to get with the family who are vacationing with us and coordinate.

I’d love to hear what you think of Ice Age! We saw it a couple weekends ago and the kids loved it. Scrat gets plenty of screen time in this one.
