It’s the end of the school year and I’ve been busy doing field trips, end of the year party madness and finishing up various projects. I can’t believe that summer is here! I’m thrilled and ready for the break in the routine. We have several trips planned this year and I am looking forward to spending lots of time with my kids. Ok Ok… I am also looking forward to not having to get up at 7am!!

Next Thursday we leave for NYC where I will spend 2 days with my kids visiting friends. Then we head to NJ for my Grandparents memorial. We will stay with family and John will join us on the 30th. We’ll then go back into the city several days and do all the tourista stuff that touristas do. We’ll also see the Lion King on Broadway which I am very very excited about. I think it will be awesome. Then we’ll come home on the 9th.

Then we’ll be home for several blissful weeks. I am hoping that in that time we will get a floor put down in our attic and do some remodeling so we can move the kids bedrooms around. I would also like to paint, but I don’t know if I will be that ambitious! We’ll have to see how it goes.

Then the end of July we are heading to Florida. We are planning on staying at the house although I have someone who is looking at it again and perhaps maybe … God Willing… we will sell it to this potential buyer. Either way… we are off to Florida. We are leaving the kiddos with family and then heading to Harbor Island for a romantic long weekend at the Pink Sands Resort. I can’t wait to simply relax and unwind. Should be a wonderful vacation. Then we’ll head back to Florida and be there a week before we head home.

Then I’ll be home till school starts which won’t be till after Labor Day.

Doesn’t that sound like a great summer?
